The Red Note podcast was named one of the 25 Best True Crime Podcasts to Binge by Forbes magazine, ranking at number 13 on the publication’s list of top true crime audio series.

According to Forbes, The Red Note podcast “made headlines worldwide upon its debut,” gaining attention not only in the United States but also internationally.

The Red Note was first released in 2020 and investigates the long-term disappearance and murder of women in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. Hosted by investigative journalist Lydia Cacho and produced with a Mexico-based creative team, the series blends reporting, interviews, and narrative to explore institutional responses to the femicides and cross-border dynamics surrounding the cases.

The podcast achieved notable chart success following its release, reaching the No. 1 position on Apple Podcasts or Spotify’s charts in 13 countries.

In addition to chart performance, La Nota Roja, the Spanish-language version of the series, was nominated for Best Spanish Language Podcast at the iHeart Podcast Awards, recognizing its reception within Spanish-speaking markets.
