Whitney, Economou Discuss The Garden and the Wilderness at Trail Dance Q&A

Craig Whitney and D.J. Economou at the Trail Dance Film Festival Q&A for The Garden and the Wilderness

Writer/director Craig Whitney and actor D.J. Economou appeared for a question and answer session following the Trail Dance Film Festival screening of The Garden and the Wilderness on January 26 in Duncan, Oklahoma. The video of that Q&A is available below.

The Trail Dance screening marked the Oklahoma debut of The Garden and the Wilderness, a modern-day Western that tells the story of Will James, an aging ranch hand who has devoted thirty years to caring for a private Texas hunting estate. When the property is put up for sale following the death of its owner, Will must face the prospect of leaving behind the work and the land that have defined his life. The film stars Larry Grant Harbin as Will James, with D.J. Economou in a supporting role as the late owner’s son.

The Garden and the Wilderness arrived at Trail Dance as a nominee for Best Short Drama at the festival’s Golden Drover Awards, having previously won the prize for Best Editing at the Beverly Film Festival. The film first premiered at the Rome International Film Festival in September 2011 and has since screened at festivals across the U.S.
